I am fine either way too. I guess its good that people had good years that they are thinking about when to get the deduction. Hope gene, rkrw, mike and those others with great years had them in their real portfolio's as well. I found the year odd in that my biotechs did (relatively) poor vs. non-biotech investments even many of the biotechs I follow did (relatively) poor. Seemed the ones that did well were more the smaller speculative but then again they probably got beat down a lot in '08. Thanks to Bulba for all the work in the contest.
