Deflation products because we have so many produced are lower in price. Our exports are basicially agriculture.
Currency devalutaion only affects extereior transactions not interior .
So providing you don't need to buy from us you are fine..
But you do -we provide food for many.
Our dollar cannot remain out of reach as we are not a nation who looks kindly upon starvation.
I agree with devaluation on an entirely different premise. .
My thoughts are if we do not find a point where we are affordable we will just carry more debt.

Now if someone would tell me where in blazes i am to post this as it is on inflation and deflation. I use this tread a great deal becuase it gives access to so much and many places that help one make decsions on a far easier base and with far less time than it takes to acquire the sources on ones own.

The IMF scares the be jeepers out of me as it can beocme to powerful of a governing body. You can have or you can't dending how you politically stand with us.

I wouldn't try to compete with Templeton..I listen when he says something.
I see deflation because the average worker has less and less descretionary money to spend..pure and simple..
I think we are headed for a double top in real estate and a big fall
in the equities market during the next recession...
inflation is in paper assets now...if there is an oil crisis I just
wonder with all those gas guzzlers etc..what the government will
pull out of its bag..
I don't think productivity has led this recover..the people who have
been downsized probably have never recouped their prior life style..
the young grads probably will never have it so good again...
corporations have made out like bandits with low interest rates and
giving out less benefits and making less people work harder than ever.
templeton says the government won't allow deflation..so I guess I
expect them to step in at the last minute..I am not stupid enough to
think I am smarter or sharper than a John Templeton..
I have never been afraid to state what I think...but I think I have
started way too many threads pure and simple...
