Look, I am on your side and I would never trade Obama for any of those right wing nut jobs.

Well you know what.......the risk is great that the Dem majority will be history by November, 2010.....from a Daily Kos poll:

"But this poll added a new question to the mix to measure voter enthusiasm: "In the 2010 Congressional elections will you definitely vote, probably vote, not likely vote, or definitely will not vote?" The overall results aren't nearly as interesting as the partisan breakdown.

Among self-identified Republican voters, 81% are either "definitely" voting next year or "probably" voting, while 14% are "not likely" to vote or will "definitely" not vote.

Among self-identified Independent voters, 65% are either "definitely" voting next year or "probably" voting, while 23% are "not likely" to vote or will "definitely" not vote.

And among self-identified Democratic voters, 56% are either "definitely" voting next year or "probably" voting, while 40% are "not likely" to vote or will "definitely" not vote.

These results are nothing short of shocking. What the hell are Dems thinking? Are they that stupid? To give away Congress to the Rs? I hope not.

But I am not willing to say everything is hunky dory when I can see with my own eyes mistakes he is making that he does not need to make.

What mistake? Afghanistan? A plurality and near majority of Americans want him to finish the job in Afghanistan, and not pull out. You want Obama to ignore the wishes of his people like Bush did?

What other significant mistakes is he making?

I have enough administrative and political experience to know the reality of politics.

Well then.......you should be far more understanding of the situation than most Americans. What's happening in DC is nothing short of a nightmare. This country......the very Union...is in jeopardy. And if anyone thinks that that's a lot of melodrama, then think again. This country is as badly divided as it was right before the Civil War. I hear the fabric of the Union tearing every day. That's what Obama is dealing with......and he knows it.

When volker, Stiglitz and Krugman are all saying the same thing, Obama should be listening. Geithner and Summers are second stringers to those three. And tainted, IMO. Obama did not hire Stiglitz, krugman and marginalize volkr, becaue he was afraid they would take wall street head on.

I see....during the worst economic crisis since the 1930s, you want Obama to take on Wall Street, scare the living sh*t out of them, rattle the markets to all hell and teach them whose boss. That sounds like a plan.....NOT.

Is it possible to wait until this country is safely out of its current economic mess before making an estreme makeover of Wall St and the banking industry? After all, Wall St and the banks aren't going anywhere.

Sorry.....I know I sound like I am attacking you but what I am attacking is the cynicism that is starting to pervade the Left. Great countries....great movements are not built on cynicism.

Now if Obama was yelling.....party on.....I could understand that cynicism. But take a good look at the man.....he is as thin as a rail, his hair is turning gray and he's working like three men. IMO to be cynical at this point is to be an *sshole.

Elizabeth Warren is considerd one of the top 50 lawyers in this country, in the field she is overseeing, and as honest as the day is long and she is frustrated.

These folks cannot be dismissed out of hand.

I am not dismissing these people but they all have their agendas. Just because they are unhappy you don't throw the baby [Congress] out with the water. After all, they are mostly just pundits and observers.....its easy to criticize in that role.

The story I tell a lot is when FDR told Harry Hopkins his first day in office: "go out and find out what the people need, today."

Harry Hopkins created 4 million jobs in just two months. He put them on the givernment payroll. Obama wants to go through business. Takes way too long and is inefficient. What's more it is the African Americans taking the brunt of this hit. And Obama needs to do more for them and the rest of the poor.

He especially needs to get those tea baggers some education-lol. (soemtimes I crack myself up-lol)

The poor are really in big trouble.

These people need to be rescued, today.

Jobs always lag in an economic recovery. And you forget that the Rs have stood in the way of any progress. And don't forget Americans are worried about the State of the Union.....they keep insisting they want bi partisanship. Obama has many masters......not all can be pleased. So he had to do some appeasing of the Rs.

Speaking of which, you can read some of the whining from fellow Dems and liberals.......I can't help but think of children when I read this stuff:
