Please don't harp to me about your fiduciary responsibility which IMO is nothing more than cheerleading, mostly about how wall street has recovered. On average, these are horrid conditions to be taking an optimistic view of the stock market IMO, in my partners eyes, in a lot of eyes of guys I respect at Minyanville, and in Hussmann's eyes. If your eyes are different then post some research of substance. Just because these are horrid times "on average" does not mean the market will fall. Moreover, I never told anyone to short, I am not short, and Sitka is not short. I have repeatedly warned people the market could go higher, while also cautioning people that on average it does not pay to be long here. Re: Never have I said my "base case" was a "V" shaped recovery, I said that if the markets can sustain the current levels, then indeed we will HAVE a V shape recovery. Here is your exact statement ... Mish, the recovery is going to be a lot stronger than people think and Urban "gateway" (NY, SF, Boston, Seattle, LA proper, etc.) housing is going to have a V shaped recovery.
