I agree completely!

(But I guess that when you are the richest athlete in the history of athletes, doing endorsements all over the place, you turn into a bit of a "public person"... with all the good and all the bad that comes with that.)

He hit and damaged a hydrant, which is owned by the taxpayers, and then hit a tree on his neighbor's property. And public resources were used to respond to his accident and treat him. So it's not a private matter at all.

And if it turns out to be a case of domestic violence, which is a real problem in our society, charges should be filed.
