It remains a fact we've never strung people up for being gay as is done elsewhere. Its not a fact of which I am familiar.......attacks on gays happen on a regular basis in this country. There was a gay enclave within the district of the councilman I worked for. Assaults on gays.....particularly by the police.....was a huge problem. It was easily a quarter of my workload. The reality is tolerance and diversity is a dream in this country, not fact.
