My conclusion is based on observation of the computer and computer peripherals markets for the last 10 years. And if you want to see a specific, relevant example, just look at SyQuest vs. Iomega for the last three years. SyQuest has introduced more new products than Iomega has, yet they have gone from a superior market share to a decidedly inferior one.
