Just noticed that the buttheads over at Hoovers have these three companies listed as Cymer's top competitors in its "Company Capsule":

ASM Lithography
Applied Materials
LAM Research

Needless to say, I sent them an email requesting correction.

Helping to keep the web a safe place for Cymer investors,
Gary.

That's a key point and goes with exactly what was mentioned in the conference call.

CYMER has time on IT'S side. EUV and X-Ray has a way to go.

>this is referring to using EUV or X-Ray, not DUV. DUV is already
here. This is actually good news for DUV as it gives DUV a
larger spread to implement, and especially good for Cymer since
they'll be moving from Krypton Flouride Kr, .25mu, to Argon
Flouride ArF to achieve .18mu. ArF systems will be ready,
according to Cymer by the end of this year.<

Darrell,

Thanks for your clarification and for all of your past posts. After reading the article, my immediate negative concerns changed to further optimism about Cymer's future.

Thanks again, Allan
