On the contrary I am more bullish now on SUNW than I have ever been. And yes I have changed my mind on MSFT as I believe Microsoft will soon come around Sun's way of thinking and they can win also (via their Web TV, NT servers used as a middle tier in conjunction with a cluster of UNIX servers, and their aggressive attempt to dominate the telecommunications and media industry which in my opinion are the highways on which Sun's thin client computing model will be travelling). Although I have to say from percentage return from an investment point of view SUNW from this point will, in my opinion, out run MSFT. Neverthelss I like to be diversified in the new age of computing and I believe MSFTwill also gain.

You state:

On the contrary I think 98 will be a great year for both companies (for Microsoft perhaps starting mid 98). This will especially be true if indeed the South East Asia is economically in not a great situation!! I know this may not much make sense at surface, but I strongly believe the Hong Kong/Asia situation (even if considering the worst - which I think is badly overblown - that the sky is falling on them) will actually boost the sales of companies such as Sun, IBM, HP, and MSFT alike.
