I'm glad to see that the quest for truth uncovers things like this. Transparency on things like this is critical in my opinion, at least if we value Democracy and the scientific process, which I do.

However, I'd be careful not to tarnish the entire scientific establishment with the same brush used on these bad apples. The fact remains that many disparate science disciplines all have concluded global warming is real using many different methods and different sets of empirical data.

Is it surprising that some scientists out of the millions out there let vanity, avarice or laziness influence their work? No. That's human nature. I challenge you to find me any institution or industry that doesn't have its share of these types of people. But we don't make it a practice of condemning the whole group over the actions of a few.

Keep that in mind.
