well, flip the genders in this situation and you will get an entirely different response... imagine a woman is slapped around by her husband, and she drives off scared for her life and is in a 'single driver accident' she goes to the hospital and the docs say, ma'am, your injuries weren't caused by the accident, what was really going in your house before you left....and she (being afraid of repercussions) says 'it was nothing, i just had a car wreck, can i go now, please?' (this is why some states require by law that competent adults, despite protest to the contrary, will have their injuries reported to authorities, the idea is to protect the victim against themselves) anyway, i think we all know how differently this would be treated throw in the added characteristic of fame and money associated with tiger woods and you will see a full court press to squelch any attempt to uncover the facts
