the debate over our role and how best to mitigate our impact is going on every day, and will continue to do so for decades to come.

That is the key. That I agree with my friend. I for one believe that man has very little to do with global warming, but that's just me. Unfortunately His Goreness refuses to believe in any other cause other than man-made and that is where 90% of the global warming scientists are coming from. They are actively trying to stifle debate to protect their stipends and IMO that is exactly the wrong thing to do since so much economic and governmental policy is being formed based on this information.

You may be missing the big picture. If scientists fudged data to fit a hypothesis then that data and subsequent conclusion come into question. I posted this to Gib. He knows it's true.

Not only that but they DESTROYED the raw data and only kept the their modified data.

Sure, climate change is happening but now the rate of it and which direction tainted possibly by "greed" science.

I am unaware of ANYBODY with a gram of credibility who doubts that climate change is taking place.

OF COURSE IT'S CHANGING.. Has been for TENS OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS..

Just in the past 1500 years we've traversed the range from the Medieval Warm period, with temperatures comparable to today, to the Maunder Minimum of the 1600's, which resulted in a mini-ice age and a few years without a summer.

Hell, we have climate change of a sort 4 times a year.

The point is that all through the 90's until just the past 4 years, it's all been about "Global Warming"..

But suddenly, as we see a lack of any further warming over the past 12 years, despite rising CO2 levels, it's NOW about "Climate Change", even though the climate has NEVER been unchanging.

With regard to climatology, the only constant IS change.

And I can tell that scientists have discovered that parts of the Great Lakes are STILL RECOVERING from the last ice age. There are parts of Ontario that are rising about a 1" a year as the earth's crust decompresses from when when it used to have a mile of ice sitting upon it for THOUSANDS OF YEARS.

Historically speaking, the MAJORITY OF THE PAST 200 thousand YEARS HAS CONSISTED OF ICE AGES. The periods of warming have been relatively short:
