news.com

Toshiba will join Hewlett-Packard
(HWP), Dell Computer (DELL), IBM (IBM),
and Digital (DEC) in announcing new
notebook PCs on Monday, paving the way for
a high-profile exhibition of these products at
Comdex in November.

The upcoming models from Dell and HP
demonstrate the two companies' newfound
prowess in this critical computer market.
Meanwhile, market leader Toshiba will aim to
stave off competition not only introducing a
new model but also by cutting prices.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) will unveil its first
mobile 233-MHz Pentium "Tillamook"-based
notebooks in a design that is both slimmer
and lighter than HP's mainstay 5000 and
2000 series of OmniBook models.

My message to Mary was simple as it is to all Longs

that are showing a 100% profit level.

PUT THE MONEY IN YOUR POCKET!!!

================================
Of course I didn't short the stock at 69 (you believe Engeldink!!)and I wouldn't short the stock below 85. I admire the one person here that bought in at 72 and hope that he had the good sense to sell the next day at 85. I'm not a buyer.

I believe the stock has a ways to go on the downside short term based on THursday and Friday's trading but it is unlikely to go all the way its going to go before those announcements I mentioned.

It also hasn't found a stable range yet. The best thing to do is wait until this stable trading range is established.

I can't beleive that people did not sell this stock when it was up in the high 80's and 90's. Unbelievable. But the Street loves the stock and the Intel virgins love the stock---so maybe there is something in this coincidence!!!
