Addi:

Obviously, by first bringing the issue of KO, you did not (so I do not) mean that the beverage industry is the same as the server industry. You seem to have meant that SUNW should command a premium within the computer industry as KO does within the softdrink industry.

So I made a relative comparison of KO within the softdrink industry and SUNW within the server industry. My assessment shows that the current price of SUNW is NOT due to idiotic selling and that it is somewhat fair. Any change in the price will be punctuated only by unexpected changes of SUNW's EPS as well as overall market movements.

addi, & sankar.

both sunw and orcl have pulled back quite a bit and i was thinking
sw business maybe more prediciatble then hw.

would like your opinion on new money .. would u add to orcl or sunw?

I already have wintelco and orcl + sunw.

BTW: i agree w. Sankar, Sunw has preception problem on the street/

sunw MUST earn it's living where as other stocks are being paid based
on their future earning.

do you think Scott would go for NT on his workstations and compete w.
all the others who offer NT? It would seem that if Scott goes for NT msft will not have a mission to kill sunw at any cost.

i understand he is providing a unique solution w. unix but how many years can sunw continue to build cpu, os, box and the whole thing?
