my point about removing restrictions for AIDS infected people coming to the U.S. has to do with the yet again unrealistic financial burden placed upon the taxpayer to fund their treatment...

Again most visitors are not immigrants, and most legal immigrants pay their own way. If it is a problem, which it really isn't, then do something about the health system, but not national health care.

The only good reason to keep them out is to prevent an epidemic, which is no longer the case.

No, but why do you think that people that cannot feed themselves and live across a huge ocean are going to be able to afford coming over in huge numbers? Even illegal immigrants from that distance will have to pay a large sum of money. The legal immigrants will largely be able to pay, they have not been a huge burdan on our medical system, but illegal immigrants are.
