What did you do Robert, stand around and observe the sample tests? That is great, it's like all of us having our own reporter working in the field for us. So Mr. Smolyansky was actually at the store? I want to meet him someday and also take a tour of the new facility, maybe he will give out a free sample of kefir like the breweries give out a beer. How many different flavors did they have and are they stocked next to the yogurt or milk or what? You said they were there Fri and Sat. Will they be there on Sun? If so maybe you could camp out in the dairy section all day and if you see Mr. Smolyansky you can ask him some questions. Just kidding about staying there all day of course. I wish I knew how much product will be selling in those 16 supermarkets so I could possibly do some revenue estimations. I have been goofing around in my last few posts because I don't have any new data to crunch. However when I do get my hands on some hard data I will be all business again.
LWAY rose 24% last week which included Black Monday in it.
I just thought of something Robert. Maybe sometime in the future when the Lifeway products have been in Dierbergs for awhile you could ask one of the dairy people at the store how their products have been selling. Perhaps even get some figures on how many cases sell per week or so. How did they do the taste samples, pour a little dixie cup and give them out? I wonder if they will eventually carry the new Elita cream cheese, the new cheese cake, Sweet Kiss dessert topping, and Golden Zesta seasoning in addition to the farmer's cheeses and kefir. Would you keep an eye on it please? I wish they were in our local supermarkets. What you said about hoping they would get into other supermarket chains in other cities is an example of the almost unlimited growth potential for many years to come. There are 1700 food chains in the U.S. Then there is all of Canada and Mexico after that. Imagine what LWAY will be in 6 or 7 years. Knowing Mr. Smolyansky, he will keep the growth rate at a manageable pace while incurring no additional long term debt.
If anyone is new to this thread and Lifeway Foods. You can get a good understanding of what this company is all about by reading all of the previous posts. They should answer most of the questions anyone might have but if anyone has any questions unanswered by them please don't hesitate to ask me them. It has been a long time since I have had to debate LWAY's potential with anyone. I really enjoyed those discussions. Well that's it for now. I wonder what next week will be like.
Thanks so much Robert, you have been delivering some really big news to all of us.
