Not to mention if it costs, let's say, $100,000 per soldier to have someone in the military and we put just 2 million teenagers in for a year, that's another $200 billion added to the military budget. Every friggin' year.

It's nuts. That's why no one has seriously mentioned the idea in decades.

Reality is quite a bit different than your dated boomer view.

The military is able to raise its standards because of the quantity and quality.
