You're quite proud of your own particular religiousity, aren't you? As far as your Holdren obsession goes, that particular bit is covered in the first link, skepticalscience.com

Rasool and Schneider's ice age "projection"

The main study cited by skeptics is Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide and Aerosols: Effects of Large Increases on Global Climate (Rasool 1971). The paper doesn't actually predict an ice age. Instead, it projects a possible scenario - if aerosol levels increased 6 to 8 times then sustained those levels for several years, it may trigger an ice age. Historically, what happened was aerosol levels fell. While it's unclear whether Rasool's calculations re aerosol cooling were accurate, one inaccuracy was they underestimated climate's sensitivity to CO2 by a factor of 3.

In the decades since their 1971 paper, many studies constraining climate sensitivity calculate that if atmospheric CO2 was doubled, global temperatures would rise around 3°C. These studies employ different methods (modelling, calculations from empirical observations) looking at different time periods (the 20th century, the Holocene, past ice ages), different aspects of climate (surface temperature, mid-tropospheric temperature, ocean heat intake) and response to different forcings (volcanic, CO2, solar).

You may now return to your regularly scheduled rant.

Thanks for responding, I was going to do it once I got through my snow laden drive, (how I wish there really was Global Warming).

I remember the Global Cooling scare in the 70's. I was a student at Penn State at the time, which used to have a respected climatology group. Now that's tarnished. Newsweek came out with that article, and it got a lot of mileage. Of course then Newsweek was a respected news magazine. I don't remember any of these supposed groups of climatologist coming out and disputing the Global Cooling theory that was prominent.

Now I find this interesting, I don't think anyone that is a regular here believes they're anything BUT right wing thinkers. I admit I'm a right wing CONSERVATIVE. I don't post on a thread were the left wing fringe inhabitants pretend to be "Centrist". Could have Win's nose been any higher in the air in that post? I bet he thinks his sh*t doesn't stink either.

Sorry, I'm tired of apologizing to these loons, its time to get them to know the truth, even if it shatters their world view.

Jim
