I prefer literature. But we have been doing "grammar boot camps" at my school- I can't say I approve, but there you are, so at least for last trimester I was an English teacher. I'm back to literature this trimester, and am very glad of it.

I don't normally chime in with English advice, as I figure no one here wants or needs it (when we make mistakes it's generally because we are hurried, not because we don't know the rules), but I didn't want Suma thinking she was wrong. She had merely expressed the general term (analogy) and you had given a more specific term within that set (metaphor). I always hate it when someone who is correct, begins to think they were wrong.
