He has put his stamp on the foreign policy spectrum pretty effectively, however.

Pretty much will seal his fate then won't it? With support now in the 30's what happens if things don't go according to plan? They never do in war. Just 17% of democrats support troop numbers.

Sadly, I agree with every word you just typed. IMO, your description of Congress, the dumbed down electorate, etc. is accurate.

My hope now is that the polls will continue to deteriorate for Obama enough that he will muster a bolder leadership style. It's not too late and I know the brilliant mind is in there.
