I am buying CY strictly on pricing. It typically languishes at 13 - 15 range.
I am planning to take profit by 13.

ESI Ships Three Model 5100 Laser Via Drilling Systems to Samsung Electro-Mechanical Co. Ltd.

PR Newswire, Monday, November 03, 1997 at 09:31

PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Electro Scientific Industries, Inc.
(NASDAQ:ESIO) announced shipment of an order for three Model 5100 micro-via
laser drilling systems from Samsung Electro-Mechanical Co. Ltd. (SEMCO).
These units have been installed, during ESI's second quarter, at Samsung's
Chochiwon, Korea manufacturing facility.
Dr. Keon-yang Park, Executive Director of SEMCO stated, "We have two Model
5100s and are adding these new systems to increase production capacity for
wireless communications and other consumer microelectronic products. The
5100 is critical for our successful, cost-effective production of fine
geometry products."
"Samsung is a world leader in electronics products and we are pleased to
be continuing our relationship with them," said Jon Hopper, Group Vice
President of ESI's Advanced Packaging Products Division. "This order, as a
follow-on to their installed systems, further confirms market acceptance of
laser drilling as a cost effective solution for micro-via formation on the
production floor."
Hopper continued, "The laser technology in the 5100 was specifically
developed as a cost effective solution to many of the challenges associated
with higher density packages."

About the Model 5100
The Model 51 00 provides enabling technology for the manufacture of blind,
buried and through-hole micro-vias for small geometry circuit board and
semiconductor package applications. The system processes single or
multi-layer laminated materials at rates of over 4,000 vias per minute. It
features ESI's proprietary, ultraviolet wavelength laser specifically
developed for these applications.

About SEMCO
Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co. Ltd. is a part of Samsung's Electronic
Business Group. In addition to passive electronic components, Samsung
Electronics produces video and audio products, appliances, information
systems, computers, semiconductors and is the world's largest producer of DRAM
computer memory.

About ESI
ESI, headquartered in Portland, Oregon, designs and manufactures
sophisticated products used around the world in electronics manufacturing
