However, climate science is multi-disciplinary and has resulted in many different data sets that all point to a similar conclusion: man made CO2 emissions are the prime cause of increases in CO2 and CO2 is the prime cause of recent warming trends.

That's simply untrue mindmeld. If you look at the multi-disciplinary science you will find the majority of it does not support AGW and most of it is looking for effects of warming not proof that the warming is caused by CO2 in any way at all. Evidence of warming ether locally or globally does not prove causation.

Just why is it that you cannot understand that correlation does not prove causation, and that lack of consistent correlation is good evidence that causation is absent.

CO2 levels have risen consistently for manny years. Global temperatures have not followed that rise and in fact are now dropping in spite of it, in clear contradiction of the AGW theory.
