We(I mean Bush, Cheney, Halliburton, etc.) did get something out of Iraq. OIL CONTRACTS!!!!!!!!!! There ain't no oil in Afghan...only poppies and drugs are illegal in the US, thus no profit.

I'm with you. If it isn't going to result in a benefit to Americans, then we have no business going to war or getting involved at all. If we spent more time focusing on solving our own problems instead of meddling in other countries, we'd have far fewer enemies as well.

It's like an American has lit a match in his own living room and then walked over to the neighbors to complain that his neighbor is driving down home values by letting his grass turn to weeds. And in the background his own home is burning down. We're not as smart as we think we are.
