Much of the environmental movement is about money. Getting government grants. Climate change is also about money for the Goldman Sachs and Al Gores of the world, as well as academics who need the grant money to further their careers.

All in all, there is nothing in it for the beleagured middle class, which has too much on its plate to worry about spotted owls, sunspots, and whether polar bears have enough ice.

I think it's time that government seriously cut back on grants.
Let's restrict them to serious research and eliminate them for political organizations.

This will save not just the taxpayers' grant money, but the collateral expense of constant litigation.
