Maybe not, but we've seen plenty already: We got off to the best possible start in Afghanistan with Rummie's highly successful 'heavy on air power / light on boots on the ground attack plan leveraging the forces of the Northern Alliance and our own stellar military.... But almost as soon as that verged on success the WH made the MOST CRITICAL of strategic mistakes --- clearing an air corridor (in the 'Great Airlift of Evil') for Pakistani military planes to EVACUATE their spymasters and Taliban clients from the collapsing Taliban outpost in Kunduz. (This followed by OBL escaping from encirclement further south, and into similar safety and support across the border into Pakistan.) Then, the WH COMPOUNDED it's mistake by 'paling up' with the Pak Military Ruler, (accepting his blandishments and false promises for literally years more....), and allowed the Tali to regain their strength just across the border. (While the US diverted resources to Iraq and left Afghanistan to twist in the wind.)
