In his inauguration speech, President Obama pledged to "restore science to its rightful place". He has either fulfilled that promise or hasn't depending on how cynical you are.

Coulter does herself no favors when she interjects religion into important secular policy. This undercuts her otherwise often witty and perceptive observations and gives her opponents ammunition to dismiss her as some fundamentalist nutcase.
