I'm sure if Holbrooke was sitting in on this dialogue he could supply the answers down to the nth degree and also explain how these various functionaries were supposed to mesh. Absent being invited to one of his briefings we'll just have to cobble this together as it unfolds--I guess. Ditto. I see your respect for him is as high as my own. As for how the training of the Afghan military/police will proceed, we've laid down some good questions. Time to wait to see the answers.
