Excellent in many ways.

[Coincidentally, the ways in which Flash has improved online delivery of content; another smart move by Adobe]

Cap & Trade is badly flawed, and Leonard makes a strong case. I recall your post: Message 25425231 .

Efficiency is our only hope, and our recently-evolved profligacy must change. Over time (and not much time: the life of a newborn child) we must find a New Equilibrium.

One of the reasons for being personally convinced of a negative future is the degree to which energy/ecology issues have been penetrated by "the fog of battle".

Leonard is correct: in the fog, a few players have an unerring sense of direction, and among them the head-bone is connected to the knee-bone in ways that aren't understood. She's right to point out (as has been done here, repeatedly) the connection to The Squid, Lazarus-Enron, and Wall Street, whose voices have been heard behind closed doors, globally.

Obfuscation and confusion are triumphant; the profiteers will march confidently and untouched, through the battleground of distracted advocates. For now, they win; eventually, everybody loses.
