I did hear Gibbs' supposed response to Rumsfeld. Something like, I'd like to hear him explain why sufficient resources weren't devoted to Afghanistan during his tenure. Gibbs kept saying that while the reporter kept asking him what Obama was referring to in his speech. Gibbs finally alluded to some request in 2008, the details of which were not provided. mph response: Seems to me there have been repeated requests for more support throughout most of 2009, on BHO's watch, who dithered in making the decision for political reasons. If delay was a Bush problem, it's a bigger one for the current CIC.
