I'm trying to recall what their FY end is and whether they've been drop prices near the end. Isn't it an odd month, like Jan. or Feb.?

I was ready to buy the Inspiron I wanted after Christmas and the price jumped 50% by 12/26. Crazy. It was quoted at $910 one day then $1469 the next.

Looking at the Studio line, I can set up a comparable machine for the pre-Xmas Inspiron price, more or less.

Does anyone know if there is a substantial difference between the two lines to justify the price difference now?
