Yeah, you, Bush and Cheney are the tough ones. You can send our young men and women to Iraq and Afghanistan, see them come home ripped by bullets and bombs, some of them dead, and go on and on about being tough. Well, apparently they must have been right in some form. Afterall, the very guy who was trying to get us to "cut and run" from Iraq is NOW committing 30K more US soldiers to Afghanistan.. Did you vote for Obama, Ed? t fight a war of occupation on his home turf a half a world way at a tremendous cost that I cannot maintain without dangerously exhausting my military and economic capital. So you prefer fighting a war of desperate defense against a fanatical, if not suicidal, enemy who's only goal is to kill as many "infidels" as they can in an act of Martyrdom so they can screw 72 "eternal" virgins and drink wine that never makes you intoxicated? What were the economic costs of 9/11 Ed? But one thing is clear.. WTC is just a spark compared to the fire that folks like Zawahiri, Bin Laden, and others of their militant ilk would like to inflict upon us at some point in the future.
