Fred: <some people have a fantasy that Segment 0 PC's will soon dominate the world of computing.> Some people just think that a server is something that serves requests from MANY users running "segment-0 PCs". This is BY DEFINITION. Therefore, the "segment-0 PC" will not disappear at least. Even more, their RELATIVE number will ALWAYS EXCEED the number of big servers. That must be so simple. FYI, according to Dataquest, the number of Intel servers sold in 1996 was only 1.7M worldwide. The remaining ~80M were client PCs.
