I'm glad to see the heightened awareness, but I'd like to see a lot more profiling at the source.

Apparently there must be a heightened sense that something is brewing because they inspected my car as it passed through the entrance. I had to open not only the trunk of the car but the hood. I'd never seen that before. I was just on the base at Ft. Myer in Arlington, VA (home to the 3rd Infantry). We breezed right through security, but I was riding with a friend who is a Commander in the Naval Reserves. All other cars without military stickers were being searched.
