Solar forcing variations are not as important a driver as you'd think. Scientists have stated despite some downturn in solar output, the warming trend is continuing. Incidentally, owing to the chaotic nature of weather and the short term variations of temperature etc.., models can never be spot on accurate in the short term. Long term, that's a different story. Predicting future man-made events, such as population declines, fossil fuel consumption and deforestation may not turn out as predicted as socio-economic policies and conditions may vary. I know you want perfection in the models as the scientists too seek, but it's just not possible.
