slacker711; They led with coverage which leads to a very different plan than cost cutting. Yes my point exactly. Had they led with cost cutting the middle would have galvanized in support. Instead the opposition has been able to rally the troops against the public option. It's as simple as .....what's in it for me. A program which has a central goal of improving the US's future productivity through infrastructure investments will look very different than one which is dedicated to generating jobs. How so? What faster way to get jobs here in America than infrastructure? Better than a stimulus like cash for clunkers that helped Japan more than it did us. Better than sending us a stimulus check so we could go out and buy Chinese garbage at Walmart. steve
