Ya, but my point is this; - the public option - is what seems to be the subject of argument in favor of the plan. Better to run with the argument that we need to control cost. Maybe you think the administration has made that argument - I then disagree. IOW, they have lost the pr debate.

I think that is at the heart of the matter. Economics is becoming more and more a data driven subject.

A philosophy that can not be supported by data (massive amounts of data) and that can be supported based only on personal notions will not be able to compete in the "free market" of ideas.
