My youngest son finally got to see snow when he was about five. Snowed twice in two weeks. The next year he kept asking when it would snow again. Told him he might be grown as we hardly ever had snow. He is 42 years old now and I'm sure he has already taken a break to go out of his office and make a snow ball. He did see snow the next year at Spring Break when we took all the kids to Colorado to ski and most years thereafter because of his wishes.

Think I might add candles to the table for a candlelit dinner for a surprise too. Now that would really catch his attention and make points for me...I am well prepared in the candle department with all colors and sizes. And yes, it was his suggestion to stay home hinting for a chili and tamale meal because of the weather and even said he would clean up after for me. Of course I accepted gladly.

We have traveled to California mostly in June or July to San Francisco and the first time I took only a leather jacket and nearly froze to death. Went back several times after and always took my fur coat. One year we sailed out in the bay on an old schooner and the wind was blowing so hard and we flew by Alcatraz so fast hardly got a look see of it. Loved seeing all kinds of house boats when we sailed on to Selina and back, if I spelled that correctly.
