You don't know that and if you google the subject you will find many articles which suggest otherwise. Again you have done what all global warming alarmists do when confronted with a question. You claim a consensus, instead of providing a fact based answer. I have never claimed a conspiracy theory, although the email fiasco, clearly indicates something very un-scientific is going on. As a layman I certainly cannot assess the accuracy of the work that a scientist does, but I have a brain and if I am told something that doesn't make sense, I am smart enough to ask about it. I have asked many proponents including some scientists that I have met about the MWP, and the failure of the climate models. In the end there answer is always that there is a consensus. That is not an answer and if they have no answer for these rather elementry questions, there is a problem with their theory. Can you imagine asking Einstein a question about relativity, and him responding that the anser is that there is a consensus among scientists that it is correct, without providing an explanation. Of course not. It is ridiculous. Would Einstein refuse to provide data essential to confirm his theory or hide the methodology he used. Of course not. It is ridiculous. I am a very skeptical person, by nature. My life experience is that more often than not that skepticism has proven to be justified and that is the case here. One last point on the so-called consensus. It was once the scientific consensus that the Sun revolved around the earth, that blood letting was sound medical treatment, that blacks were inferior etc. Independent thinking and sound science is not what we need, not this nonsensical political group-think. lj
