Those are fantastic photos. The Lincoln Memorial is truly impressive, as are the Vietnam Memorial and the Washington Monument.

I'm very impressed with the attention to detail that the architects of Washington DCs monuments and buildings have. Things line up perfectly. They look like they belong.

Beautiful.

Your pictures are so beautiful, Smithee! GREAT family photo with Lincoln... The Washington Memorial takes my breath away when I see it like that, and the picture you took of the Vietnam Memorial made me get teary...that is such an emotional walk...I knew it was going to be, but in that case, knowing isn't at all like the real experience. It truly just grabs you!
And I know well Lafayette Park....You've got to come there in the spring...the tulips and flowering shrubs are simply breathtaking there. I see the protesters are still there...Were you able to go into St. John's Church (known as the President's Church)? I was really thrilled to be there for two Easter Sundays and be able to be in that Church on those two days. We got there early so we could do that. Beautiful....just beautiful!

The Mall is just incredibly awe inspiring. Very nice family picture. It would look good on one of those neat Christmas cards they make at Hallmark and at some of the drug stores.
