Obama's War The SF Major General interviewed here is a long time personal friend. In 1972, the last year I was an ODA Commander, he was my Commanding Officer. The first time I met him, I had my team deployed on Crete. He flew in and introduced himself to us. First he had to find us. We were off shore doing a 2 mile underwater compass swim. A USNAV SEAL brought him out in a powered skiff. We still see each other several times a year at SF events. As always, Sid's reflections on our wars are strategic, insightful and forward looking.
