Although I lived in Arlington, VA, from 1983 until Dec. 1988, we never visited the cemetery. Until this trip, the last time I'd been there was in 1967 with my mother. I don't remember much of that trip except visiting the JFK gravesite. Since that time, of course, a plaque has been added for Jackie.

One of the best tours I have ever taken. I'd highly recommend you do one if given the chance. Well worth the $15.00 cost.

""I have spent a bit of time in DC, but never visited Arlington. I drove by it a number of times""

We have lots of family in Arlington. I, myself, would always like to remain a 'drive-by' <wink>. Joe's Dad's service saw him with the horse with the boots backward. Sometimes there is so much drama, dignity, emotion, family members; it is so difficult to capture it all in one or two moments when it is also surrounding a lifetime of love... does that even make sense. When and If I look back, I see more pieces of the great picture. It is alive! It is Love Dancing its Celebration.
