Ted, > I am willing to keep an open mind on the subject while working towards stopping the conditions that we think are responsible for climate change if for no other reason than the elimination of those reasons would be good for humanity.

I don't consider needlessly hindering progress to be "good for humanity."

You think working for cleaner air is "hindering progress". How so?

Though we as a nation could stand to drive less and walk more, there will be hell to pay for any politician that tries to force said lifestyle upon us. Especially when said politicians never practice what they preach.

In other words, you like being a couch potato. I understand.

Of course, the rest of the world would love to impose carbon restrictions on America for no other reason than their resentment of America's wealth.

I know that's how you all see people who are wealthier than you are so you project that attitude on everyone else. However, the ROW has a legitimate gripe. We are 4% of the planet's population while consuming 25% of its resources and disproportionately spewing those resources into the air as emissions.

But none of this really matters to the real travesty here. Science has been turned into politics, and the truth is a casualty. If that doesn't bother you, well then it should.

Maybe that's because some people are putting the planet earth first before their nation. A concept that's probably seems as foreign to you as snow in June and gives you the heeby jeebies. Sorry.
