Why we do not use the knowledge we have to conserve and protect this fragile environment we live in as far as we are able, just as a matter of common sense, is quite beyond me. I hear people saying things like "We have enough oil/NG/whatever for a hundred years so what's the problem?" My great grandchildren will live with the consequences of our folly-it's personal and, in the grand scheme of things, 100 years is no time at all.
