Medical mistakes have nothing to do with it, idiot. The ranking was done by people who favor socialized medicine.

You are interested in alibis? I still remember your post where you wrote that you did not like to argue...(g)

Alibis serve no purpose. Our country leads in medicine in some fields as we all know. In other areas it trails, and that is the area that I would like to see improved. I know that if you bring back administrators with a degree in medicine, that will help the quality of care and the reduction of infections and mistakes. We have seen ever increasing problems since non-medical people became the administrators, because the hospitals were run so inefficiently. It is a catch 22 in a sense. I believe that they could change their corporate structure to better administer with a combination of the two skills.

Don't let the fact that we do have excellent health care in some areas upset you in your argument. We have some great facilities in the country. some of the best in the world...and where I choose to go instead of the less quality facilities and doctors. That is my choice. People can make theirs and some of course cannot make that choice and some choose not to make that choice.

I have lived in several countries and know of their strengths too. It is a shame we do not lead in every category and that is what I want to see.

Our diet and lack of exercise does contribute to our mortality rate. If we do not take care of ourselves, we cannot expect medicine to cover what we do not do correctly daily. How many overweight posters do you think there are that post all day long daily? (s)
