Peak...like miles per hour? Ya know...take yer car up to the highest pass in the country, head down hill, and floor it. At some point, you won't go any faster. When you hit the flats, you'll start slowing until you plateau at a speed you can hold until yer out of gas. Yer still going until then, but not as fast..you left yer peak speed on the grade. Or,... it's a lot faster to pick up a 74Kg nugget than it is to filter 3 cubic miles of ocean.
