Maxwell, thanks for another outstanding technical post! Mr Aloha should add these to his news archive as technical references.

Gary.

Maxwell, do you see anything in the Komatsu specs relative to Cymer 5500 specs which would cause alarm? My conversation with Cymer regarding the gas life of the Komatsu (1m over 7 days versus Cymer 1m over 5 days) has yielded the comment that (a) gas life does have a variance depending on use and (b) Cymer has improved their gas life specs since the excimer's introduction to the floor and this improvement has come by way of Cymer's new ongoing service program. Thanks Specs are at Post #7718. Thank you for your response.

Hey Maxwell,

I very much enjoy reading your informative posts. Thanks.

Have you heard of a startup company in Sunnyvale called Sensys Instruments? Sensys Instruments is dedicated to commercializing real-time in situ sensors for fabrication of integrated circuits on silicon wafers and related applications. I believe their current research is focused on photoresist cure monitoring during prebake which is especially critical for next generation deep UV
photoresists - to go along with Cymer's stuff.

I know you are "the man" on this thread in technical matters related to Cymer and wondered if you had heard of Sensys. The reason I ask is that I was asked to apply for an engineering position with this company because some of my masters research in a related field is very similar to what they are doing. However, I've never heard of Sensys. If you know of them, would you please share your opinions on their product's chances of becoming commercially viable as well as any other information you might have.

Thank you very much.

Jolley

Maxwell... What's a polygate CD? I did a search but was unable to find a definition, though I did come up with lots of places to buy compact disks. Thanks in advance...
