In post Viet Nam, Veterans Admin research suggested strongly (statistical significance at the .001 level--<g>) that the highest vulnerability for PTSD were service men and women from small towns with rather stable, but rigid Mores. The surrealism of that war, in contrast to WWII, was too much to handle for some. I think Iraq and Afghan...has some of the same qualities in regards to figuring out who is the enemy. It keeps changing and shifting.
