Al, I'm going by what each president requested. You're going by projections made back in March. Even the projections for 2010 outlays are already wrong: Obama requested $3.55 trillion, but the CBO projects only $3.4 trillion. And Obama's request doesn't even include "off-budget," while the CBO projection does.

You really ought to get your facts straight. Projections are projections, and they are subject to change. What Bush requested in 2008 and what Obama requested in 2009 are the facts.

Obama is a bigger spender than Bush.
