Your point? If the point is that new cultivars could be developed, that is true. But we aren't doing that right now. If there is sufficient temp. shift before that happens, well...

Anything is possible I suppose. But it is a big gamble. Climate changes in the short term usually cause big disruptions.

I'd prefer not to gamble this way unless I had to.

Don't act like it is some kind of ultra fragile ecosystem. This is the kind of crap you get from watching too much PBS.

Of course it is fragile. We have seen whole species wiped out because of overhunting or overpollution by man. Why do you make sh*t up?
