A VERY thoughtful answer to a somewhat glib question. Let me ponder on it a bit. Thanks for the reply.

Thank you again for the posts you publish as they stop and make me think. I agree with you on this last one. As you know I object to war and I was against Iraq and I am against
more troops. For me the best thing would be to bring home everyone of our troops from every land they occupy and concentrate completely on OUR COUNTRY. Building a better
security system... More money and men for intelligence to thwart a threat. Having viable health care for everyone.

Looking after our citizenry and providing jobs. All this takes money and the money we are WASTING ( that is how I feel )
on helping CORRUPT leadership in countries that are not to be tamed which has been proven by occupations by other troops
is futile.

We seem to be heading in the wrong direction on all fronts.
AND because I feel this way I am called a liberal and if the writer of letter to the editor in today's local paper had his
way I would be tarred, fathered and run off the earth....

I stand my ground on history and what I have learned. Not on wishful thinking that this time it will be different.

However Ed you present the best arguments for countering my own feelings and I accept them and respect you for it.
